This Christmas, we are so blessed to present Gospel Balloon using Balloon Puppetry.
The theme of our message is "When Santa meets Jesus - A Different Kind of Gift", token from the passage John 3:16,
"For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son. God gave his Son so that whoever believes in Him may not be lost, but have eternal life.” John 3:16 ICB".
We presented a story to the kids to let them understand the true meaning of Christmas.
It is truly our joy to serve the Lord as He enable us to use our giftings and skills to bless the children....
Thus, we would like to take the opportunity to thank the following Chuches for giving us the opportunity to serve their Children ministry this season:
- Katong Presbyterian Church
- St John's Chapel
- Mount Carmel Bible-Presbyterian Church
- Singapore Charismatic Church
- Springdale Condo

Doraemon Human size display @ HSBC VivoCity
Three happy friends
Nobita & 静香 human size
Shizuka 静香 & Doraemon @ smaller size
Doraemon has been part of us since our childhood days....
We were challenged by HSBC to display a human size Doraemon at their grand opening @ VivoCity branch on 3rd & 4th Nov 2007.
Uncle Piggy was also invited to conduct a 2 hours show to make special balloon sculptures to give away to the children. This was not a normal give away event. Uncle Piggy made few of his favourite characters such as Spongebob, Spiderman, Powerpuff girl, Elmo, Sylvester to give away through games.
Due to time constraint, we can only make Doraemon, Nobita and Shizuka (静香).
We hope to bring other characters into the display in due time. We look foward to this day....

Children Day's service @ Agape Baptist Church
On 30 Sep 2007, we were invited by Agape Baptist Church to conduct a Children's day special service.
Our message was about "Transforming" and we used the Bible passage from Luke 19:1-9.
It was a challenge for us to use Balloon sculptures to illustrate the principles and values from the passage. Luke 19:1-9 talks about this man named Zacchaeus (whom I called him, Zac -the short and hairy man), a tax collector, who was not well recieved and being rejected by the community because his wealth came from collecting money from other people and giving it to the Roman government in the early days. Later, he came to know Jesus when Jesus wanted to visit his home. The amazing part of this story was that Jesus knew who Zacchaeus was even before Zac wanted to see Jesus from the tree. Zac's life was transformed and he gave half of his possessions to the poor, and return four times for those he had cheated in the past.
It was a simple but yet heart touching story to tell the children that they are accepted by God no matter who they were. We were encouraged by this event and we hope to bring more gospel through balloons to more churches out there.
Here are some of the highlights of our story with balloons:

Our Trip to Las Vegas, Summer Balloon Camp 2007
Dear Friends,
It has been a wonderful and eye opening experience for us to attend and be trained at the Summer Balloon Camp held in Las Vegas 2007.
With more than 14 countries and 400 plus professional balloon artists and decorators who came to the camp for one common reason – to learn, to share new ideas and to impart skills to one another. We felt a sense of belonging indeed. In fact, we were well taken care of by these lovely people.
At the same time, we made new friends!
We learnt a lot, especially balloon decorations and new balloon creations.
Here are some of the photo highlights that we would like to share with you...
Our First day assignment - Helping to decorate the main entrance area
We learn to make AMAZING Balloon sculptures during the balloon jam which lasted till 3am almost nightly...
Competition pieces - Totally awesome! How do they do it!?
Shaun's CBA exam pieces
Shaun got his CBA award on 8 Aug 2007
The key to our success is that we demonstrated a different value in balloon making – expressing love through balloon arts! We believe balloons can touch people’s hearts irregardless of ages and religions. They have the power to bring joy, surprises and fun! We want to extend this value to the suffering children, especially those from the 3rd world countries.
Coming back to Singapore, we have many plans! We want to impart balloon art to the younger generation. Our passion is to allow the younger generation to let their creative mind work in this area and to have a different perspective in using balloon as a form of art. Children love balloons and they have the ability to make complicated balloon pieces. One of the plans we have is to bring this art to the primary schools and we hope that we could kick start this programme very soon.
We hope our sharing can let people see the wonderful world of balloons through balloon making and they no longer see balloon making a non-professional career.
